Where White meets
Pink.
The brushing technique that changed outcomes for thousands of kids. Printed on every BumblCo tube.
Two zones. One habit.
Most kids — and adults — miss the gumline entirely. WINK fixes that.
Where White meets Pink — the gumline.
It’s where plaque builds up. It’s where most decay begins. It’s the part kids (and adults) miss.
Teach the WINK, and brushing gets better — not longer.
That’s the whole method.
Find the WINK
Look for where the white of your tooth meets the pink of your gum. That’s the gumline. Aim your bristles right there, gently.
Brush all surfaces with the WINK
Start with the outside (cheek side), then the inside (tongue side), then the tops. Keep your bristles aimed at the gumline as you go — they’ll naturally reach between your teeth too.
Done properly, this takes about thirty seconds. If your child takes longer, that’s fine. The point isn’t speed. It’s that every stroke counts.
Clinical credibility, kid-friendly delivery.
The WINK Method is a child-friendly adaptation of the Modified Bass Technique — the brushing method proven in clinical literature to be the most effective at removing plaque with the least time and effort. By teaching kids to target the gumline, Joe made a clinical-grade technique accessible from age two.
Technique beats time. Every time.
In clinic, Joe has watched children reverse their oral health using this technique. Kids who arrived needing fillings learned the WINK Method, changed their habits, and never needed another filling. They return every six months for routine cleans only.
He’s also seen kids who say they brush for five minutes — yet sit in the chair with plaque everywhere. Time wasn’t the problem. Technique was.
BumblCo is — to our knowledge — the only toothpaste in the world that has removed the two-minute rule from its packaging and replaced it with technique.
Quality over quantity. Always.
Because the bathroom is where brushing happens.
Not the dentist’s office. Not a YouTube tutorial. The bathroom. So that’s where the instruction lives — printed on every BumblCo tube, every time.

The WINK Method was developed by Joe Hanna, founder and registered Oral Health Therapist, based on thousands of paediatric dental appointments. It is a simplified adaptation of the Modified Bass Technique and is consistent with current clinical guidance on effective plaque removal at the gingival margin.
